Third-generation BYD Tang interior revealed ahead of Q4 launch

BYD has released the full interior of its third-generation Tang SUV. The model was first unveiled at the 2026 Chengdu Motor Show, with official images of the cabin released afterwards. The latest reveal gives a more complete look at the production car's interior.

The new Tang brings a redesigned cabin, BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and flash-charging technology. It also comes with the DiPilot 300 (God's Eye B) driver assistance system as standard.

Exterior

The new-generation Tang follows the design language of BYD's Dynasty range. Up front, a full-width LED light bar is flanked by large air intakes, giving the SUV a more imposing face.

A floating roof and semi-flush door handles give the sides a cleaner look. Buyers will have a choice of 20-inch or 21-inch wheels. The DiPilot 300 driver assistance system will be standard across the range.

At the rear, a full-width light bar continues the latest BYD family look. The new Tang measures 5,045 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,760 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.

Interior and technology

The dashboard is dominated by a 30-inch panoramic display that stretches across the front of the cabin. A three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a separate digital instrument display complete the driver's area.

There is also an alternative screen arrangement. Alongside the 30-inch dual-screen setup, this version gets a 35.4-inch integrated display mounted higher up and further forward. It brings together key driving information, including speed, navigation, the time and weather.

Powertrain

Power comes from a 300kW electric motor. The second-generation Blade Battery is available in 88.682 kWh and 105.792 kWh capacities, with CLTC-rated ranges of 730 km, 830 km and 850 km across the available versions.

Flash-charging capability is another key addition. The new Tang also features BYD's DiSus-A intelligent body control system. Paired with dual-chamber air suspension and an intelligent road-preview function, the system can adjust to changing road conditions to improve ride comfort.
