Jetour T2 facelift revealed in China, now with 1.5 turbo-hybrid

Jetour has released official photographs and technical details of the Jetour T2 facelift in China, following completion of the model's MIIT filing. The update introduces a hybrid powertrain and subtle styling tweaks intended to distinguish the updated T2 from the existing T2 model.

Visually the front end is the most changed area: a new horizontal trim strip crosses the grille and the brand badge has been relocated up onto the leading edge of the hood. The front bumper now adopts body-colour cladding, while the profile remains largely unchanged compared with the standard Traveler.

Measured exterior dimensions for the updated T2 are 4,827 mm long, 2,006 mm wide and 1,875 mm tall, riding on a 2,800 mm wheelbase.

At the rear Jetour retains the model’s rugged cues: the vehicle keeps the small external “pack” styling element and a side-hinged tailgate instead of a conventional top-hinged liftgate. The taillight lenses are given a smoked finish for a sportier look.

The most significant technical change is the drivetrain. Jetour equips the T2 facelift with a hybrid system pairing a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor. The combustion unit’s maximum output is listed at 115 kW; Jetour has not published combined system output or battery capacity in the filing.

Other mechanical or interior specification details, including transmission type, electric motor ratings, battery chemistry and on-board charging information, were not disclosed in the MIIT documents or the official imagery release.

Jetour’s decision to offer a 1.5T hybrid reflects a broader trend in China’s SUV market toward down-sized turbo petrol engines supplemented by electrification to improve fuel economy and emissions. Exact pricing and trim breakdowns have not been announced.
