The Haval H6 ranked fifth with 328 units, while the Wey G9 followed closely behind in sixth place with 323 units.

The two models were separated by just five units, highlighting the close competition within the segment.

Hybrid sales remain largely unchanged

Malaysia recorded 5,621 hybrid-petrol registrations in July 2026, compared with 5,646 units in June.

This represents a marginal decline of just 25 units, or 0.4% month-on-month, indicating that demand for hybrid-petrol vehicles remained broadly stable despite the overall automotive market growing during the month.

The relatively flat performance contrasts with the stronger growth seen in the electric vehicle segment during the same period.
