XPENG has launched the MONA L05 in China, with six variants priced from RMB 144,800 to RMB 176,800 (approximately RM 91,800 to RM 112,100).
For early buyers, XPENG is offering a limited-time RMB 5,000 (around RM 3,170) cash discount on orders placed before midnight on 15 December 2026. This brings the starting price down to RMB 139,800 (approximately RM 88,600), with the range topping out at RMB 171,800 (approximately RM 108,900).

XPENG says vehicles can be allocated as early as the evening an order is confirmed, with nationwide deliveries in China set to begin on 1 November.
The company has also announced a new Crescent Silver ROAM package for both the MONA L03 and L05, with deliveries scheduled for January 2027.
Although the MONA L05 has made its debut in China, XPENG says the model was developed from the outset with the requirements of 65 countries and regions in mind. It will be offered with both fully electric (EV) and extended-range electric (EREV) powertrains.
The MONA L05 shares its design language with the MONA L03, including XPENG's signature Starship headlights. An active grille shutter (AGS) helps manage airflow for both aerodynamic efficiency and cooling.

Buyers can choose from six exterior colours: Crescent Silver, Static Grey, Nebula White, Crystal Black, Violet and Fairyland Green.

In profile, the L05 has a sloping fastback roofline, a long shoulder line and pronounced rear haunches. XPENG quotes a length-to-height ratio of 2.98, a width-to-height ratio of 1.18 and a wheelbase-to-length ratio of 0.6.
Other details include frameless doors, semi-concealed door handles, newly designed alloy wheels and a choice of brake calliper colours.
The L05 measures 4,870 mm long, 1,930 mm wide and 1,636 mm tall, with a 2,940 mm wheelbase.

At the rear, a full-width LED light bar incorporates more than 300 laser-etched lighting elements.
The optional ROAM package adds exclusive 20-inch black alloy wheels, body-coloured brake calliper covers, a gloss-black ducktail spoiler and blacked-out badges.
The MONA L05 features XPENG's second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) driver assistance technology, with different hardware configurations depending on the variant.

The Max version uses a single in-house-developed Turing AI chip, delivering 750 TOPS of computing power and running the second-generation VLA Lite model.
The Ultra SE version gets two Turing AI chips, increasing total computing power to 1,500 TOPS. It also runs the full-spec second-generation VLA model, designed to handle more complex traffic situations.
Inside, the MONA L05 has a wraparound dashboard available in two colour schemes, Dark Grey and Light Grey.

The two-tier floating dashboard houses a 17.3-inch 3K central touchscreen, complemented by a 26.8-inch wide head-up display.
XPENG has also upgraded its Xiao P voice assistant with Master Agent AI capabilities. The system can understand more complex spoken instructions, search for destinations using less precise descriptions, plan multi-stop journeys and make changes to a route through voice commands.
A 4.6-metre strip of ambient lighting runs around the cabin, offering 256 colours and AI-powered interactive effects.
Other details include a sports steering wheel with two satellite controls for quick driving mode changes, concealed electrically operated air vents, a velvet headlining and an electric sunshade.

Rear passengers get a 17.3-inch roof-mounted entertainment screen and folding tray tables. The cabin also features a 20-speaker AI sound system with metal-etched speaker grilles and a large softly illuminated vanity mirror.
There are eight charging ports throughout the cabin for phones, tablets and other devices. The ROAM package adds Nappa leather upholstery with exclusive embroidered detailing.
The MONA L05 features XPENG's Cloud Comfort seating system, with different adjustments and functions for each row.

The driver's AI-powered seat can automatically adjust cushion firmness, side bolsters and support for the thighs, lower back and shoulders.
The front passenger gets a zero-gravity seat with a 14-point massage function, while the rear seats offer 11 degrees of powered recline adjustment and heating.
Storage is another focus. The cabin has 41 storage compartments and 22 accessory connection points.
The 102-litre front boot can accommodate a 20-inch suitcase, while the rear boot offers 702 litres of space with the seats upright. Folding the rear seats expands capacity to 1,913 litres, which XPENG says is enough for eight 20-inch suitcases.

XPENG also quotes a front seat cushion length of 555mm. Front headroom measures 1,030mm, with the company claiming sufficient space for occupants up to 190cm tall. Rear passengers get 1,010mm of headroom and up to 1,063mm of legroom.

The MONA L05 is available with two powertrain options.

The fully electric version (EV) offers three CLTC driving ranges: 535km, 560km and 635km, depending on the variant.
The EREV version has a claimed electric-only range of 310km and a combined range of up to 1,310km with a full tank and fully charged battery. Under the quoted fast-charging conditions, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in as little as 14.7 minutes.
The chassis uses MacPherson struts at the front and a five-link independent rear suspension setup, together with DCC adaptive dampers.
XPENG quotes a minimum turning radius of 5.4 metres and a braking distance of just 34.22 metres from 100km/h.
